Why You Need to Visit Slovenia… Right Now

When you dream of exploring Europe’s narrow, cobblestone streets and magnificent landscapes, we’re guessing that Slovenia isn’t at the forefront of your mind… But it should be.

Slovenia is far less discovered than its neighboring countries – Austria, Italy, Croatia and Hungary – yet, it possesses the same old world charm and spectacular geography, from the striking coast and crystal clear waters of the Adriatic, to the magnificent jagged peaks of the Alps. If Slovenia wasn’t on your travel bucket list before, it will be after this!

Postojna Caves: This caving system, discovered in the 17th century, was carved out by the Pivka River over millions of years. Today, the caverns stretch nearly 15 miles long! Guests who visit can learn the history of the caves by taking a mini-train tour or by exploring on foot with the help of an audio guide. Just down the road lies Predjama Castle, a unique structure built into the side of a 350-foot-high cliff. Hear the history of the robber-baron who lived here and the intricate cave system that lies beneath the castle.
