Tis the season for giving! Here at the Globus family of brands, we strive to help families in need. For the past 10 years, we have collaborated with organizations to make a difference with families that need help over the holidays. Our employees “adopt” members of the families and fulfill their wish lists. Whether it is a new bike, winter jacket, sheets, dishes or toys to brighten a child’s holiday, our employees deliver. This was our largest year yet. We helped 18 families (which breaks down to 77 people) have a happy holiday – all because of our employees. At other times during the past month, Globus employees have been gracious enough to give to those in need. It’s a December to remember!
Our Inventory & Data Management department ran a companywide contest to see which floor could donate the most winter jackets, scarves, hats and blankets for the Denver Rescue Mission. The one-day challenge brought in 47 hats, 49 pairs of gloves, 94 coats, 54 scarfs, 70 pairs of socks, 17 sweaters and 7 pairs of shoes! That will make a difference for someone in need this winter. This challenge was a rematch to one that our Art department hosted.
The Art department ran a companywide contest to see which floor could bring in the most nonperishable food for the Food Bank of the Rockies. We as a company filled 4 carts full of donated items. The donations ranged from vegetables, peanut butter, and tuna to infant formula, diapers, and toiletry items.
Our Marketing department paired with Operation Gratitude to show our appreciation for those who serve in our military. They collected 208 hand written thank you notes from our associates and 62 pounds of donated candy. The notes and candy are used to create care packages to reminder the service members that we are thinking of them over the holidays.
From our family to yours, we hope you remember what the holidays are truly about and give if you can this season.
